Serie C, the results of group B: Reggiana, Ancora Matelica, Cesena, Siena, Gubbio, Modena,
Aimo Diana’s team is formed in the clash at the top against the Marche. Wins for Gubbio and Modena, four draws
Midweek round of luxury in group B. Reggiana-Ancona Matelica, clash between the first and second in the standings, is clearly won by the hosts (3-1) who stretches in the lead for the joy of about six thousand of the Città del Tricolore : Zamparo (on an assist from Lanini) and Sorrentino addressed the challenge, Sereni halved the disadvantage too late (with guests already ten due to the expulsion of Moretti), Scappini closed the accounts in full recovery with his first goal seasonal.
SALE THE CESENA
–
The Ancona Matelica thus finds itself overtaken in second place, where (less than three from the top) Cesena climbs: 2-1 at Pontedera, the signatures of Bortolussi (fourth goal in a row) and Tonin, then Magnaghi for the Tuscans. Many eyes were also on the Adriatic for the other big match, Pescara-Modena. In the challenge between highly experienced technicians, Tesser won on Auteri (1-2) punishing the usual blue-and-white defensive visual: in the first half Mosti – surprisingly lined up in place of Tremolada – immediately put Di Gennaro on, then the turn of the equalizer by Franco Ferrari, before the penalty converted by Ogunseye (foul by Illanes). Pescara have won just five points in their last five games, an average definitely not in line with their ambitions.
FOUR DRAWS
–
In the wake of the big names there is Gubbio, which has an extra gear at home (it has won 13 of its 17 points) and has also enforced its law against Carrarese: a 4-0 that severely punished the team of Totò Di Natale, with the signatures of Bulevardi, Aurelio, Oukhada and Spalluto. After four useful results, Gilardino’s Siena falls, beaten by Viterbese (2-0) with goals from Murilo and Volpicelli (for Lazio this is the first success of the season). First away victory for Olbia, who rule Montevarchi (0-2) with a goal per half from Udoh and Travaglini. Four draws: one goal per time in Grosseto-Teramo (1-1, Arras and Hadziosmanovic’s Abruzzese tie) and in Imolese-Pistoiese (1-1, Liviero’s home advantage, then Romano in the final). Double 0-0 in Fermana-Lucchese and Entella-Vis Pesaro, with the Ligurians not winning for a month.
