In Rouen, the shortage of goods drives up property prices
By making owners fear that it would be difficult for them to relocate after having sold their home, the health crisis has deeply destabilized the real estate market in Rouen. In the City of Rollo, we find the following (now traditional!) Cocktail, namely, a demand of unprecedented force, goods to be sold in insufficient numberst, sales deadlines which are thinning, negotiation margins which are skyrocketing and prices soar. According to the LPI-SeLoger Barometer, the price per square meter in Rouen shows a 9.6% increase over 1 and to reach € 2,894.
- “The offer which is becoming increasingly rare and which leads to an increase in prices. This increase obviously depends on the sectors and types of goods, but the general increase is clear. »(Bruno Lacroix, real estate agent in Rouen).
- “In the most sought-after areas of the metropolis (…), it is not uncommon for exceptional parent quality accommodation in just one day. This is the case for apartments with terrace, parking and lift. »(Patrick Duhamel, real estate agent in Rouen).
