EUROPEAN SUPER LITTLE
The European Super League is expected to present a new plan for the championship it aspires to organize and which this time will be open to all European countries, including Greece. The first information of the German Wirtschafts Woche.
The European Super League is preparing to return to the forefront of world football, this time with a new project that does not include a closed championship.
A document leaked to the German website Wirtschafts Woche reports that the new plan is expected to dominate in the coming years in the international firmament, based on the judicial victories over UEFA in recent months.
According to the information that has been published so far, the plan includes an open league of 20 teams, in which clubs from all 55 UEFA member federations should be found. This will result in more revenue for the new event and less backlash.
Unlike the first plan of the 13 + 3 teams that would have acquired the right to participate in every European Super League event, the new plan does not have permanent participations. Each team will participate in the qualifiers based on the results of the national championship and from there will claim a “ticket” for the 20 teams that will make up the European Super League.
In the design there will be a second category, which will also consist of 20 teams.
One of the important parameters of the original plan concerns the fans, who will receive financial assistance from the organizations to attend away games of their teams, which did not have a ceiling on ticket prices, in order to be affordable.
According to the WiWo + post, the detailed announcement of the renewed plan by the European Super League is expected in the coming days.
