Geneva public prosecutor Grodecki resigns
The Geneva public prosecutor loses one of its first four prosecutors. Stéphane Grodecki has announced that he will step down from his post at the end of December.

Grodecki has been with the Geneva Public Prosecutor’s Office for eleven years. Most recently, the 44-year-old represented the public prosecutor in the widely acclaimed trial against former State Councilor Pierre Maudet. Grodeckischrifte also drafted the indictment against the Valais wine producer Dominique Giroud.
The reason for his departure are other career plans, as reported by ghi.ch. Grodecki joins the Geneva law firm Merkt & associés as a partner. “I look forward to this return to the legal profession, which will enable me to practice other areas of law, in particular public law, which I already teach at the University of Geneva,” Grodecki is quoted as saying.
