Dudley Leonora.
The first signing of the offseason is Dudley Leonora, who signs with San Marino Baseball and officially becomes an integral part of the roster for the 2022 season. Leonora, who will turn 30 next December 15, is a high quality and reliable utility player with a present and a very recent past of great productivity in the Dutch championship. Born in Sint Maarten, by nationality, he is 1.85 tall and began his career in American minors with Orioles affiliation.
Then he moves to Hoofdklasse, the Dutch championship, and there he finds the definitive leap in quality and also a high-performance technical stability. He starts with two years at Kinheim (2015 and 2016), with 364 appearances at the plate and a batting average that goes from 299 in the first season to 327 in the second. Then, in 2017, he moved to the Hoofddorp Pioniers and beat 298, essentially the same average of the following year, 2018, when instead he began his adventure with Curaçao Neptunus (297).
Since then he has always been in Rotterdam, keeping a high performance crowned by a super last season: 342 batting average, 393 average arrivals on base, 36 points beaten at home. Player at the top of his career.
