Austria plant 3G compulsory in the workplace
In order to contain the coronavirus, Austria is planning a 3G rule in the workplace. In addition, unvaccinated people must wear bald FFP2 masks indoors.

Despite the big protest hat, Italy introduced the 3G duty in the workplace. To contain the coronavirus, when must all workers be vaccinated, recovered or tested. Austria should soon follow suit – and introduce a strong additional rule for those who have been tested.
The new rules are laid down in a twelve-page draft law entitled “Today” and “OE24”: For employees at “work locations where physical contact with others cannot be ruled out”, the 3G rule gilds. It does not matter whether contact with customers or work colleagues is possible. As a result, the 3G rule applies to practically all professions.
In addition, tested employees with customer contact must wear an FFP2 mask. This could affect restaurant employees, hairdressers or masseurs, for example.
The FFP2 mask requirement does not only apply to these people, but also to unvaccinated people wherever the 3G rule is in force. Even in actually all closed rooms. In restaurants, guests are only allowed to take off the mask when they are seated. In fitness studios it has to be worn during training, at least you can shower without a mask.

It is still unclear when the new regulation will be officially presented. «OE24» expects that it will be this week. The new rules are due to come into force at the beginning of November.
Austria’s new Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg warned of a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” in his role as Foreign Minister. He was addressing the “procrastinators and hesitants” who did not want to be vaccinated against the corona virus.
