Adagio and ibis Styles Hotel opened in Zurich: day pass
Accor has opened a new combo project in Zurich, ten minutes from the main train station: Das Aparthotel Adagio Zurich city center comprises 64 “hygge style” apartments of various sizes and with their own kitchens. Guests can also take advantage of their own gym and sauna.
That in the same building complex ibis Styleschose “Optical Illusion” as the design motto and has 202 standard and family rooms, the Yuka restaurant including a large breakfast area and a bar. There are also three conference rooms with space for up to 25 people. The owner of the newly built building is BZH SA, a real estate investment company based in Switzerland, which specializes in particular in the hospitality industry.
The combination of the two Accor sisters in the same building complex enables a wide range of accommodations at an affordable price-performance ratio.
Adagio Zurich City Center – Cozy hygge style with surprising Swiss accents
The 4-star aparthotel Adagio Zurich City Center consists of 64 apartments, including 28 studios for two people, 16 twin studios and 20 two-room apartments for four people. Each apartment has a separate bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a study area and a living room with a sofa bed. The hotel service is available 7/24. There is also a laundry and cleaning service. There is also a restaurant with a bar. A terrace is on the sixth floor. A fitness studio is also available. In the “library of things” you can find a lot to design your apartment individually. There are plants, decorative and design elements or even books to borrow, swap or dalassen. In the “Kid’s Corner”, the little guests have their very own area. Equipped with wooden furniture and with educationally valuable as many ecological games and toys. There are also on-site parking spaces. And in combination with the ibis Styles, there is now a selection of modern accommodation with many services in the heart of Zurich.
Cozy, innovative and modern – the design
Emotion, experience and sustainability: with these three words Nicolas Thermed defines vision for the interior and the hotels of tomorrow. The interior designer with an unusual background (as a graduate of the Paris School of Fine Arts, he was initially a furniture designer in Montréal), he creates a cozy, modern ambience with surprising accents. His creation, which he created for the four-star Adagio Zurich City Center, can be described well with the “hygge style” – the very own feel-good atmosphere originating in Norway and Denmark.

The ibis Styles, located in the same building complex, has 202 rooms, consisting of standard and family rooms. Each hotel of the brand has an individual design concept. This is also how the new ibis Styles Zurich City Center, which has the theme “Optical illusion” and is characterized by geometric style elements and optical illusions by the artist MC Escher. The hotel’s Yuka restaurant serves snacks, and guests can round off the day with cocktails and drinks in the Blue Bar. Three conference rooms between 24 and 42 square meters and space for a maximum of 25 people are available for business meetings. Guests can also use the gym.
Close to the city
The combo project is located in the heart of Zurich. It is only ten minutes to the main train station and the tram and bus stops right in front of the door for a quick trip to the city center with its many shopping opportunities and sights. Such as the Großmünster Church or the Fraumünster with the famous glass windows designed by Chagall. If you want to go up high, you can go to the Uetberg, which is easily accessible from the city at an altitude of 871 meters and from the main train station. From there, there is a breathtaking view of the city, the lake and the Alps in the background.
