“The town hall is full of art” (Antwerp)
Dylan Schiettecatte (29)
Every weekday our reporter and photographer pick a casual passer-by off the street for a nice conversation. Want everyone has a story. And certainly in Antwerp. Today: Dylan Schiettecatte (29).
“A good friend of mine tested positive for corona. Luckily she doesn’t feel sick, but she still has to quarantine for a few days and has no TV or laptop. She can’t be on her cell phone all day, can she? That’s why I bring my television even to reach her anyway. I also have a USB stick with the Game of Thrones series on it. I’ll be without TV for a few days myself, but I’ll do that for her. I sometimes read a book.”
“I also had myself tested for corona, but the result was negative. Then I can happily continue working. I work as a glazier and often visit crowded places. I wouldn’t want to make anyone sick. Because of my job I often go to places where other people don’t go so quickly, that’s the nice thing about it. I have already worked upstairs in the town hall of Borgerhout and also in the town hall of Antwerp. We are working on the glass domes above. It’s full of works of art there. I think very expensive works of art. They just stand there. A shame really.”
