Boschi-Pierfelici case: the Director Canzio intervenes
On 15 September, the Boschi-Pierfelici case was brought to an end in the Great and General Council. Luca Boschi di Libera had opened it on July 13 informing the assembly that the current government has been ‘packaged’ – up to the choice of the secretaries of state – by Dr. Valeria Pierfelici, judge at our Court. On September 15 he was rejected the agenda presented by Repubblica Futura “for the establishment of a Council Committee of Inquiry” on the aforementioned case and, more generally, on any “improper commissions between exponents of politics and the Judiciary”.
The majority opposed the investigation because politics must never interfere in the affairs of the court, perhaps “questioning the judges” said, in no uncertain terms, Alberto Giordano Spagni Reffi on behalf of the government parties.
Boschi certainly cannot be satisfied with how things went. Nor was Pierfelici, who could not defend herself. And not even the secretaries of state, all called into question, including that of justice. (…)
