References apply. The preparation of the two sections of the D7 and D6 motorways will be postponed
In the period of affairs, the verdict of the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) has fallen in recent days, which will take ŘSD as a precedent. References Metrostav Infrastructure acknowledged, the company will win tenders in both sections. ŘSD wants to start building them this year or at the beginning of next year, they should be put into operation in 2024.
“It will depend on when we manage to make a choice and how quickly they arrive to sign the contract. It will also depend on whether candidates from second places object to the selection. If there are objections or submissions to the Office, it will be postponed. If the participants respect our decision and no objections, then the hope of starting some constructions before the end of the year is alive. I think that they will arrive at the beginning of the next construction season, the constructions could be fully launched, “Radek Mátl, General Director of ŘSD, told the zdopravy.cz server.
Metrostav has been illegally banned from participating in public procurement for three years by Metrostav in a corruption case surrounding former Central Bohemian governor David Rath. The road and motorway construction company is transferring to the subsidiary Metrostav Infrastructure, but according to the competition, it does not have the necessary references to participate in ŘSD tenders. The verdict of the Antimonopoly Office is favorable for Metrostav Infrastructure, it acknowledged that the company took over the necessary references from the parent Metrostav. In addition to the sections near Chlumčany and Krupá, the dispute affected dozens of other ŘSD contracts.
At Chlumčany and Krupá, new sections of the D7 and D6 motorways, respectively, are to be built in parallel with the current first-class roads. The four and a half kilometer long section near Chlumčany will connect the Sulce motorway bypass with the motorway under construction near Louny, the section near Krupá will stretch the Prague – Karlovy Vary motorway by six and a half kilometers.
