closures of centers in Caen
They were installed in three very busy places in downtown Caen. The so-called ephemeral screening centers of Courtonne, Bouchard and Malherbe no longer appear on Monday on the map of anti-covid testing sites. Two of them allowed to be tested until 11 p.m. and, still according to the ARS online document, no Caen site will have such a wide time slot.
50 sites in Calvados, 24 in Orne
On the scale of Calvados, fifty screening sites are still considered by the regional health agency. Half in the Caen conurbation, in particular in or in front of clinics or hospitals. It is always possible to get tested at the CHU, at the CHR boulevard Clemenceau, at the Saint-Martin and du Parc clinics. In the other towns of the department, the hospitals of Bayeux, Lisieux and Vire also offer the famous antigenic or PCR tests. Otherwise you have to go to nursing offices or sites run by laboratories.
In Orne, there too are no more ephemeral centers set up in Flers and Trun. The capacity is reduced to 24 possible screening sites. The towns of Argentan and Flers are better designed with three test locations. Two on the other hand on the side of Alençon. The other screening possibilities are spread over the territory.
In son latest report dated October 12 : the ARS mentioned 25,278 people tested in one week in Calvados and 7,691 in Orne. Figures that drop with the start of paid tests. To benefit from free screening, one of the following six conditions must be met.
- a complete vaccination schedule or a contraindication to vaccination;
- minors;
- identified as part of the contact-tracing made by the Health Insurance;
- concerned by collective screening campaigns, organized by regional health agencies or within national education establishments, for example;
- presenting a medical prescription;
- having a certificate of reinstatement of less than six months.
