AM wins tender for Vreeswijkpad Amsterdam residential blocks
The residential blocks, which were designed by Inbo, consist of different types of housing such as apartments and ground-based generation homes. At least two thirds of the homes fall under the medium-priced owner-occupied segment and the residents have a great deal of influence over the development of their home.
In addition to housing, there will be parking facilities in both blocks. In addition, the residents share a communal courtyard, which was designed by Felixx. The involved parties united in design team have Studio 1106 zip code).
“With Studio 1106 we want to have more impact on the neighborhood than is possible with the buildings alone. In this way, existing residents can also make use of the shared mobility that we are going to offer in this new neighborhood”, says Peter Heuvelink, director of AM.
Energy-supplying
The aim is to have the project have as little impact on the climate as possible. The project becomes energy-generating, with excess energy being stored and exchanged within the project itself and the environment. There will also be a mobility cooperative with six electric shared cars that all residents can use. Facilities are also being realized for animal species such as the swallow, house sparrow and bat.
The intention is that construction will start in 2023, so that the first residents can move in.
