WRC will have 13 races in 2022 and Rally de Portugal will be in May
World Rally Championship returns to New Zealand
The WRC announced a calendar for 2022 with 13 races scheduled for the debut of the hybrid era of the World Rally Championship, which will take place in Portugal at the end of May.
The Rally de Portugal takes place between the 19th and 22nd of May and opens a tour par excellence in gravel competitions.

Next year will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the WRC and also the debut of the main Rally 1 category in which the cars are now hybrids with a 100 kW electric motor associated with the current combustion blocks and the use of a “one hundred percent sustainable” fuel based on hydrocarbons.
The calendar starts, as always, in Monte Carlo, at the end of January and ends in November in Japan, welcoming the return of New Zealand, absent since 2012 and still an event to be announced for the date scheduled for August.

after the Spain rally having ended this Sunday with everything still to be decided, the World Rally 2021 ends next November with the Rally de Monza between the 18th and 21st of November.
