On the Internet, his videos have accumulated several thousand views. Comedian Maxime Gasteuil, from Saint-Emilion (Gironde) and installed in Paris, evokes scenes of everyday life, while being right in the air.

In the mood of time

Containment, the excesses of people on Vinted and on Instagram, squeegee, waxing … In his sketches Maxime Gasteuil describes everyday scenes, in the absurdity of certain situations of our time. A southerner in Paris, a Parisian in the south, Maxime Gasteuil intelligently plays clichés between the capital and the province.

An autobiographical show

In his last show, “Maxime Gasteuil is coming to town”, the actor, spotted in the Jamel Comedy Club, is inspired by his own life. Starting from the observation that more than 80% of Parisians were born in Provence (like him), he shares his observations as a new inhabitant of the capital, with what shocks or amuses him: Parisians, the metro, the market bio, bloggers … He scrutinizes the daily life of today’s Parisians in their thirties.

He does not forget, however his origins, and likes to evoke aperitif in the South, the rugby, the friends…

Soon a movie and a book

Arrived in Paris anonymously, Maxime Gasteuil knew a dazzling success with its formula. During confinement, he confessed to being in the process of preparing a film, and writing a book “The guide of a provincial who disembarks in Paris”.

If the videos allowed him to have greater notoriety, son first love remains the scene. He will be performing for his first Zenith in Toulouse, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, after many reports due to the health crisis.

Maxime Gasteuil is the friend with whom you want to go for a drink when you get out of work will be to decompress, so after 90 minutes with him, the batteries fully recharged.
