This is also a way to innovate and adapt the financial system to the latest technologies.
So, in our question this week, we want you to tell us whether you think Portugal should also have its own digital currency. Participate!
Portugal Should it have its own digital currency?
Much has been said and written about cryptocurrencies. Although this is still a topic about which a large portion of the population has no information, it already divides opinions.
On the one hand, there are those who argue that this is a natural evolution where the objective is to make the financial system more adapted to existing technological innovations, thus giving people more financial freedom. However, there are also those who view the system and the dynamics of cryptocurrencies with a lot of skepticism and with the expectation that, sooner or later, this 'bubble' will burst and take with it a high number of people into a complicated economic situation.
In turn, many countries, in an attempt to adapt to the modern world, are creating their own digital currency. China, for example, already has its digital yuan and, according to the latest news, tests for this currency have already moved 5.3 billion dollars. More recently, Nigeria also announced that it will create its own digital currency, called eNaira.
In this way, we would like you to tell us if Portugal should have its own digital currency.
