Long Drink will become a favorite of TCU fans
It only took almost 70 years before the Finnish drink arrived in the United States, but better late than never. Long Drink, owned by TCU alumni, has quickly made Fort Worth, Texas, a home away from home. Frogs fans will accept. At both Legends and Champions Clubs and Suites, you’ll see just about anyone with a long drink in hand.
Long Drink also made its way to Norman, Oklahoma via the KillerFrogs bus ride. Frog fans would have liked to celebrate victory at Long Drink; it certainly did its job to overwhelm their grief. You will soon understand why this drink falls into the category altogether. Don’t just take KillerFrogs ’word, try it for yourself.
Lonkero, also known as “long drink”, is an alcoholic beverage intended to be served to participants in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. To anticipate the thirsty crowd, the government commissioned an alcohol company to come up with a cool premixed drink, and a long drink was born. Traditions caught on after the athletes left home. The word “kalsarikannit” also comes from Finland, which is defined as “the feeling when you get drunk alone in your underwear without the intention of going out”. but I get lost.
What is a Long Drink?
This drink is a combination of gin and grapefruit soda with an ABV range of about 5%. In the United States, Long Drink is combined with hard celery, but in Finland, long drink has its own category, such as beer, soda or wine. The long drink category consists of beverages that are normally about 5.5% alcohol / volume and have a real vodka base and are not prepared based on a cocktail recipe.
What does it taste like?
It must taste damn good, considering that in Finland long drinks are drunk all year round, on several occasions, for all ages and genders. Yes, I wrote correctly: for all ages. It clearly has a wide appeal. It is even known that people who usually turn their noses to gin and / or grapefruit enjoy this drink. So, what are you waiting for? Go give it a try!
