Long Drink will become a favorite of TCU fans
It only took almost 70 years before the Finnish drink arrived in the United States, but better late than never. Long Drink, owned by TCU alumni, has quickly made Fort Worth, Texas, a home away from home. Frogs fans will accept. Long Drink also made its way to Norman, Oklahoma via the KillerFrogs bus ride. Frog fans would have liked to celebrate victory at Long Drink; it certainly did its job to overwhelm their grief. Lonkero, also known as “long drink”, is an alcoholic beverage intended to be served to participants in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. To anticipate the thirsty crowd, the government commissioned an alcohol company to come up with a cool premixed drink, and a long drink was born. Traditions caught on after the athletes left home. What is a Long Drink?
