“Now the applicant has the right to establish both a general ban on the departure of minors from the Russian Federation, and a ban on travel to a specific state or several states for a certain period,” the department said. According to the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the innovation will be able to help parents prohibit dependence on the prevailing life circumstances.

Moreover, if the applicant is a Russian citizen, then he will be able to travel abroad with the child. If the parent who declares their disagreement with the child’s departure is a citizen of another country, then not both parents can take the child out. Another innovation is that a parent who has filed an application to ban the child’s departure can now withdraw it out of court – at the place of filing the application.

It became known on October 15 that a new procedure for the departure of children abroad will be introduced in Russia.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin made changes to the rules for children traveling abroad. It is noted that the one signed by the head of state makes it easier to obtain only one of the country’s legal representatives.
