Quarantine restrictions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine have been invited since March 12, 2020.
From March 17-18, Ukraine closed its borders, determined the movement of the metro, intercity and interregional passenger services, increased restrictions on the operation of establishments serving trade, the transition to settlements and established liability for their violation.
From April 6, the government tightened quarantine measures and further adjusted them.
On April 22, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the quarantine until May 11, after which it eased it somewhat, but extended the remaining quarantine restrictions.
The message of quarantine restrictions in Ukraine started on May 11. On May 20, the government calls for adaptive quarantine until June 22 (if restrictions are limited, measures are gradually eased, preventing the epidemic situation in each region).

The next stages of the quarantine message in Ukraine began on June 5, and then on June 10. The government’s June 17 decision extended the adaptive quarantine until July 31. Later it was extended until the end of the summer.

On August 27, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the adaptive quarantine, but waived strict restrictions throughout Ukraine.
On November 11, 2020, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said that instead of adaptive quarantine, the government was returning the general one and also calling for a tough “weekend quarantine.” This practice was appointed on December 5, at the same time the authorities announced an “intellectual lockdown” – from 8 to 24 January 2021.
On January 25, 2021, Ukraine returned to the quarantine restrictions that existed in December 2020.
On March 25, the Ministry of Health was renewed in the quarantine zone: Kyiv and 10 oblasts were described in the “red” zone. A hard lockdown took place in Kyiv on April 5 – in the subway and other public transport it was possible to attract only with special passes.
From May 1, Kyiv sent a quarantine. On May 7, the Ministry of Health stated that the situation in Ukraine was stabilizing, after which there were no oblasts left in the “red” zone.
In August, the government extended the quarantine restrictions until October 1, 2021, and then until December 31.
On September 23, the whole of Ukraine moved from the “green” zone to the “yellow” zone of epidemiological restriction, but with changed opportunities for vaccinated people.
