Virtus Siena returns to PalaPerucatti: Quarrata arrives on Sunday
Fresh from the defeat suffered in San Giovanni Valdarno, Virtus is ready to return to the friendly walls of PalaPerucatti for a new challenge. Sunday 17th at 6pm the Dany Basket Quarrata arrives, a newly promoted team in Serie C Gold which however started the championship in a great way, with two victories against Agliana and Don Bosco Livorno.
“The match against Synergy was not the best, we have never played able to lead the pace and bring the inertia on our side with continuity – comments the Virtus coach Andrea Spinello – Let’s not forget that important elements were missing such as Imbrò, Bianchi and Ricciardelli, whose absence was felt. Synergy deserved the victory, however with a little more attention in the final it would still be the two points: it is an experience we must treasure in order not to make the same mistakes again ”.
Fiorello Toppo, thanks to the veteran’s presence under the basket, was reinforced with the arrival of Emanuele Rossi, who in recent seasons has been confirmed as one of the best longs in the championship. “Quarrata is a good team that has already won two wins out of two in this championship – says Spinello – Furthermore, it has added a point of reference for this championship to the roster, such as Emanuele Rossi; it’s a very dangerous team. But we don’t have to think about our opponents, but about ourselves: whoever goes on the pitch will have to give their all, and I’m sure they will, even giving something more to those who aren’t there ”.
