Salzburg violinist wins prize at the Joachim Competition
Chiara Sannicandro first convinced the jury of the renowned Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hanover and advanced to the final. There the 23-year-old won the audience award on Thursday.
Chiara Sannicandro from Salzburg prevailed against competitors in the renowned Joseph Joachim competition and made it through to the finals. There the violinist was awarded the audience award on Thursday. After two prizes at the Brahms competition in Pörtschach last year, participation in the finals in Hanover is another international exclamation mark. In the round of the last four, Chiara Sannicandro presents herself with a solo piece by Manfred Trojahn and Schumann’s Violin Concerto, a heart of the 23-year-olds. The audience award is linked to appearances at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival and at the Potsdam Chamber Academy. The remarkable young artist can be seen in Salzburg on November 14th with the orchestra of the cultural association.
