Portugal 2030 public discussion scheduled for November
Portugal 2030 will be put up for public consultation in November. The application of funds from the next community framework implies a “Partnership Agreement” with the European Commission that will be submitted to Brussels this October.
The updated calendar of the Ministry of Planning is contained in the report on the State Budget proposal for 2022 delivered this week to the Assembly of the Republic.
At issue are 24.182 million euros of funds involved to be applied in the country under the multiannual financial framework (MFF) 2021-2027. Funds that are added to Portugal 2020, which ends in 2023, and the Recovery and Resilience Plan for 2021-2026.
“The Partnership Agreement that materializes the main strategic options regarding the application of the funds of the 2021-2027 MFF will be presented to the European Commission in October and will be subject to improvement resulting from the public consultation process and the interactions to be developed with the main interested parts, to take place in the month of November”, reads OE 2022.
“The preparation of operational programs takes place simultaneously and also involves strong interaction with the main interested parts public and private, whether of a more sectoral or more territorial nature”, adds the Ministry of Planning.
Portugal 2030 will have four major thematic operational programs, in addition to the normal seven regional programs – five from the mainland and two from the autonomous regions – and the technical assistance program.
The four thematic operational programs of Portugal 2030 will be dedicated to demography and inclusion, innovation and digital transition, climate transition and sustainability of resources and sea.
