Overchuk says Russia will benefit from digital taxation – Economy and business
WASHINGTON, October 16. / TASS /. Russia will benefit from the introduction of digital taxation, which will revolutionize. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk made this statement on Friday, answering journalists’ questions in Washington following his trip to the United States.
“We were very actively involved in the negotiations on digital taxation, which really revolutionized the international tax system. RF (2011 – 2020).
In July, G20 finance and central bank ministers, following a meeting in Venice, spoke out in support of international tax reform, the main parameters of which were agreed upon by G7 finance ministers at a meeting in the UK. There, one of the central themes of digital was the global tax treaty. In the kingdom, an agreement was reached on the need to introduce a minimum corporate income tax around the world at a level of at least 15%. This is happening now.
Earlier, the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov announced that Russia would sign an agreement on the taxation of international groups of companies in 2022, with new rules to start earning from 2023. According to him, there is a need to use financial services in the field of taxation of transnational companies. However, the measures were not systemic.
