Autumn in Annecy offers us magnificent landscapes. Our wooded park is the envy of people and everywhere, an explosion of shimmering colors accompanies our autumn walks … Less poetic: the cushions of dead leaves that pile up along the sidewalks or in the squares. Fortunately, everyday super heroes are there!

A hundred agents mobilized

Every day, the municipal agents of the “urban property” service are deployed on the territory. Mechanized agents and manual road menders ensure the collection of leaves while continuing their public health missions: sweeping, washing, waste collection….

They use on the various major axes, equipped with leaf vacuums, blowers and other sweepers to overcome these piles of dead leaves.

Watch out for the leaves!

On rainy days, the teams are all the more vigilant to prevent walkers from falling. But like snow, the leaves keep falling once the teams have passed. A little indulgence for the agents: the leaves do not fall all together and the fall lasts three months … We are starting to know the song!
