The cultural wealth of Lebanon on display at the Maison de France in Monaco
A new exhibition begins in the Principality, the fruit of two families with long-linked destinies.
Until November 5, the Maison de France in Monaco is hosting the exhibition “At the gates of the Orient”, the result of an astonishing encounter between the artist Virginie Broquet and the family of Lebanese decorators Tarazi. Two families whose stories are linked to the Residence des Pins – the seat of the French Embassy in Beirut.
“At the gates of the Orient” is an exhibition that immerses the spectator in Lebanese culture, its scents, its flavors, with the help of various objects, moving documents, family archives and old postcards.
