Russia is ready to start production of “green” hydrogen in Karelia and supplies to Finland – Economy and business
MOSCOW, October 14. / TASS /. Russia is ready to start producing “green” hydrogen in Finland within two years, said the head of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
“Another promising direction for the development of hydrogen energy; we also heard about the initiative to build a hydrogen pipeline from Finland and Sweden through the Gulf of Bothnia to Germany. For the same enterprise, within two years, on the basis of their sites in Karelia, they are ready to organize the production and supply of “green hydrogen to Finland,” the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade quoted Manturov as saying. following his trip to Finland.
Manturov took part in cooperation with the Russian-Finnish intergovernmental commission, which is co-chaired by the Minister of International Development and Foreign Trade of Finland Ville Skinnari, and also met with the Minister of Economic Development of Finland Mika Lintilä.
The Russian Federation is interested in working together with Finland to introduce carbon-free technologies in industry, Manturov noted. “We are actively developing technologies for electric transport, we have also created prototypes of hydrogen buses – we are working on hydrogen, we will start already in 2023. – here our countries have all the opportunities for cooperation.
