After the health crisis, the famous Saint-Romain fair in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) – the second largest funfair in France after the Foire du Trône – will reopen with great fanfare, from Friday 22 October to Sunday 21 November 2021.
“There will be more rides than usual, promises Peter Hector, communications officer for the Saint-Romain fair and manager of the mobile brewery. Wood fire, where you can enjoy grilled pork. Instead of having between 30 and 40 thrill rides, we have offered around 50 this year. It has been a long time since there was a fair in Saint-Romain, and everyone is motivated to make the festival beautiful and successful for the people of Rouen. “
While the fairgrounds are in full installation on the Esplanade Saint-Gervais, Peter Hector has agreed to unveil the five new thrill rides at the Saint-Romain 2021 fair. If they are not yet in place – because many of them are currently at the Saint-Michel du Havre fair which ends Sunday, October 17, 2021 – we give you a taste and believe it, it will move!
The Mega King Tower
A giant tower will culminate the Saint-Romain fair. The people of Rouen will climb into a giant elevator that will offer a free fall from 80 meters high at 100 km / h in just three seconds! The highest merry-go-round traveling in Europe was currently at the Saint-Michel du Havre fair:
The new World
This booster aerial thrill ride – pendulum type with rotating arms – will also be part of the 2021 novelties.
Astromonde
“Astroworld is a kind of Extreme, a staple of the Saint-Romain fair with a rotating bra,” informs Peter Hector. But this one goes even faster and provides great sensations of speed. “
Fresh out of the factory, he was the undisputed star of the Saint-Michel fair in Le Havre. One of our journalists presents you with an overview:

Jet power
This new merry-go-round with nacelles that turn in all directions was also present in Le Havre for the Saint-Michel fair. see instead:
Mega loop
Similar to the Astroworld and Jet Power, the new Megaloop shouldn’t disappoint thrill seekers either!
Added to this are the traditional bumper cars, laughing palaces, ghost trains, children’s rides, the Ferris wheel… and the legendary croustillons from the Milot confectionery!
As far as prices are concerned, a carousel ride for children costs around three euros. And for adults, it’s between five and 15 euros per tour, depending on the attraction chosen. “What is certain is that an afternoon at the fair costs less than going to Disneyland”, smiles Peter Hector.
Sanitary pass and mask
Everything is soon ready for the opening of the Saint-Romain fair, Friday, October 22, 2021. It remains to be seen whether the health pass will be checked at the entrance to the fair or at each merry-go-round. If the controls are carried out at the entrance to the fair, the mask will not be compulsory in the aisles of the fair. If they are checked in front of each arena, the mask must be worn.
“For now, we are moving more towards a health pass control at the entrance to the fair and circulation in the fair without a mask,” said Peter Hector. But for now, it is not validated, it will certainly be next week. “
