MOSCOW, October 14. / TASS /. Russia plans to set a new record for gas production in 2021. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, speaking at the Russian Energy Week.
“As for production capacities, this year we will reach record volumes of gas production,” he said.
Pumping into Russian underground gas storage facilities (UGS) may be completed around the end of October, Novak said. “October, the end of October, probably. It all depends on nature,” he said.
Earlier, Novak said that Russia must complete the injection of gas into its underground storage facilities before starting to supply additional volumes to Europe.
Novak notes that Russia is fully fulfilling its contractual obligations for gas supplies to Europe, is ready to consider new applications, but there are none. Russia, in particular, Gazprom, as the only exporter, fully fulfills its obligations under all contracts, “he said.” If someone needs it, Gazprom will consider supply options based on their production capacities that they have “, – added Novak.
