Naples Weather Alert 14-15 October 2021: parks and cemeteries closed
Following the warning notice for strong and very strong wind issued by the regional Civil Protection and valid from 8 pm today 13
October until 2 pm on October 15, the the municipality of Naples ordered the closure of city parks and cemeteries for both days.
These are the expected phenomena: strong winds, locally very strong tomorrow, Thursday 14 October 2021, from the North-North-East with gusts. Rough sea, locally very rough offshore and along the exposed coasts.
The weather alert of the Civil Protection
There Civil Protection of the Campania Region issued a notice of weather warning for strong winds o very strong and rough sea, locally very rough offshore and along the exposed coasts, valid from 8pm tonight and until 2pm on Friday 15 October.
The most critical day will be that of Thursday 14 October, when the winds, coming from the North-North East, will intensify over the entire regional territory with very strong gusts and the sea will be very rough offshore and along the exposed coasts.
The Civil Protection of the Campania Region recommends that the competent bodies pay the utmost attention by monitoring the correct holding of public parks and structures exposed to the stresses of winds and wave motion, putting in place all measures to prevent, mitigate and contrast the phenomena expected, also in line with the respective Plans.
It should be remembered that the wind alert is not color coded, which instead concerns the hydrogeological hydraulic risk which currently is not foreseen as thunderstorms from such impact on the soil.
