A new flu season is now starting. According to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), monitoring from last week shows that influenza activity in Norway is very low.

Last week (week 40), 0.2 percent of those who went to the doctor were diagnosed with flu-like illness, which indicates a very low level of flu.

The level is very low in all counties, according to FHI.

According to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, no influenza virus has been detected in the first week of the new season. I have the period since May 2020, only 23 flu viruses have been detected.

They write that around a third of all virus detection last season was done at the end of the season.
