The Employment Forum continues this Thursday, October 14, until 5 p.m., at the Aushopping shopping center, Avignon Nord, which notably houses the Auchan Le Pontet hypermarket. The demonstration started on Wednesday October 13th.
This meeting, the result of a partnership between Pôle emploi and Aushopping Avignon Nord, innovates this year by taking place over two days and by expanding the sectors of activity represented. With 36 companies for around 200 job offers, in catering, commerce, personal services or transport and 12,000 job seekers from the regions of Avignon and Carpentras invited by Pôle emploi to come and present themselves there. , the bar is high, but seems to respond to the favorable economic context.
The prefect, Bertrand Gaume, emphasizes: “France has the highest growth rate in the euro zone. Government measures have created jobs for 9,100 young people. We must continue. The stake is also to take care of the sectors of activity in tension, we know them. I am here to say it, there are 1.4 billion euros on the table ”. For Jacques Lèze, director of the shopping center, the 2021 edition of the forum has a special flavor: “Using our space as a bridge between candidates and entrepreneurs is a form of response to the crisis”. Joris Hébrard, mayor of the pontet, expresses, however, the hope that this economic growth will last and not be a rebound effect.
Finally, the deputy Souad Zitouni, godmother of the forum, affirmed herself happy to participate in an essential initiative for the territory, which offers the chance to all to find a job ”.
