Due to the pandemic difficulties, the Under 17 national team has not played an official tournament for two years, but the Biancoazzurrini are now seeing their return to the field very closely: in six days against Germany for the first day of the group qualification for the 21st European category. For three weeks, CT Leoni and his boys have been preparing the triple appointment on Romanian soil: on the agenda only one last session on the Serravalle B surface before taking flight, on the same day (Monday 18 October) towards Bucharest, where a refinement will take place the following day and 24 hours later the tournament will be in full swing.
Wednesday 20, at 3pm, the Germany to break the ice; then the Russia (Saturday 23 at 15:00) and to close the hosts of the Romania (Wednesday 26th at 18:00). A challenging group, which, however, will have the sweet characteristics – albeit with the necessary precautions – of a return to normality. A fact, this, particularly
significant for the Under 17 national team, one of the teams on our “roster” who owed the pandemic conditions most dearly.
