YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. The Speaker of the Riksdag, Alen Simonyan, today received the Ambassador’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador for the Republic of Armenia Patrik Svensson, said the Parliament’s press service.
The President welcomed the Ambassador and emphasized that Sweden is one of the most important and reliable partners for Armenia.
Parliament’s speakers touched on the close and effective cooperation that exists between delegations from two countries on the various international parliamentary platforms.
Speaking about the Armenia-Sweden cooperation, Alen Simonyan strongly assessed the support from the friendly country in the democratic processes that are taking place in Armenia, and appreciated the financial assistance that the Swedish government showed in the development of a number of spheres.
In connection with bilateral cooperation, the speaker has confirmed that cooperation with Sweden is also important in the form of relations between Armenia and the European Union.
Patrik Svensson highlighted the development of bilateral parliamentary relations and the expansion of cooperation in many areas.
