Woman with four kilos of cocaine who wanted to travel to Lisbon detained in Brazil – Observer
A Brazilian who tried to board with almost four kilos of cocaine hidden in her suitcase to Lisbon, Portugal, was arrested on Monday by the Federal Police of Brazil, at Guarulhos International Airport, was announced this Wednesday.
The woman, who was not identified, will be presented to the Federal Court and responsible for the crime of international trafficking.
According to a statement released by local authorities, police officers arrested seven passengers with drugs or false passports trying to leave the country between Friday and Tuesday.
The data were released together due to the national holiday celebrated on October 12th in the South American country.
Also on Tuesday, a woman, a Bolivian national, tried to take a passport belonging to a third party to Lisbon at the same airport.
The woman told police that the Spanish passport presented was delivered in Bolivia and that the person to whom the document would belong would be her sister, who lives in Spain, where she intended to go, after passing through Portugal, in order to work.
The passport was seized and an incident report was filed.
