Over the weekend the men’s and women’s Serie B championships are back (the latter after a year off). Titan Services San Marino, the men’s team of the Beach & Park company led by president Leo Gennari, is preparing to face the third consecutive championship in Serie B. Inserted in group G, the “Marches” one, it will make its debut on the friendly parquet of Serravalle on Saturday 16 October at 18.30 against Osimo. A coach Stefano Mascetti asked what he expects. “We are restarting after a somewhat particular championship and we do not know the teams in this group like those in the Emilia-Romagna group – he explains. – For children it can be an extra obstacle to overcome but also a way to accumulate experiences. We have seen some friendly matches from Osimo but it is clear that these are not very indicative matches. However, I had the impression of a solid team with a strong crush. They are coached by Roberto Masciarelli, a great of our volleyball who is a guarantee also as a coach. In this first game, what interests me most is the right approach of the boys ”.
Women’s Serie D The women’s Serie D championship also starts on October 16, in which the Beach & Park women are involved. Eleven teams have registered: in addition to the titans, two from Rimini (Athena and Volley Team San Giuliano); another four in the district (Riccione, Villa Verucchio, Coriano and Santarcangelo); two from Ravenna (Portuali and Teodora) and two from Forlì (Raimbow Forlimpopoli and Libertas Forlì). The debut for the girls of coach Wilson Renzi is with San Giuliano on Saturday 16 at 19 in the gym in via Briolini in Rimini. “We met San Giuliano in a friendly match but, rather than basing ourselves on the characteristics of the opponents, I think it will be important to think about our game – says coach Renzi. – I know that I will not have Martina Muraccini, one of the most experienced players and also Veronica Renzi, a very promising 2007, has problems. We are a little counted and we will try to do our best. I will have three sixteen and two eighteen year olds on the field. I’m also curious to see how things will go after a one-year stop in the championship ”. The goals for this season? “The girls are futuristic but they have to work, they are really very young. – Emphasizes coach Renzi. – The aim is to make them grow by aiming for a good championship, always interfacing with Cristiano Lucchi, the coach of the national team. We think with a view to 2025 to give the national team a group of players ready for international competitions “. Pictured: Wilson Renzi.
