VIDEO – The horrible green LaFerrari that belonged to Jay Kay seen in Monaco
Ferrari is preparing to unveil a new supercar very soon which will use the technical basis of the LaFerrari Aperta. In the meantime, seeing a “LaF” is always a hell of a spectacle for any enthusiast, especially when it comes to the former car of Jay Kay alias Jamiroquai.
No, this is not a montage. This LaFerrari is indeed green. The TFJJ YouTube channel had the chance to film a very rare LaFerrari in the Principality of Monaco. This is a 2014 model currently registered in Wales and painted in the very rare ‘Signal Green’ color. If the car sounds familiar to you, that’s okay: this LaFerrari was previously owned by Jamiroquai.
This hypercar went on sale in April 2019 and at the time it had only 1,900 miles on the clock, or 3,057 kilometers. We don’t know the actual mileage it displays today, but in a 2011 interview Jay Kay admitted that despite his love of cars, he drives very little, hence the low mileage. Apparently the car was bought by someone who will probably use it more.
Sacred spotting!
Leaving aside its “special” color, this LaFerrari is impeccable. The paint protection film ordered by the previous owner probably played a key role in the preservation of the Italian hypercar, and we hope the new owner takes just as much care.
As a reminder, the LaFerrari was launched in March 2013 and became the brand’s first hybrid model. Its powertrain consists of a 6.3-liter V12 that is mated to a small electric motor. The whole thing displays a combined power of 963 horsepower. On paper, the 0 to 100 km / h sprint takes less than three seconds, while the 0 to 200 km / h is reached in less than seven seconds.
