There is already gasoline at more than two euros in Portugal
The price of gasoline for the first time surpassed a barrier of two euros per liter in Portugal.
This Monday, for the thirty-fifth time this year, the fuels became more expensive again. Since the beginning of this week, a liter of diesel has cost another three and a half cents and a liter of gasoline another two and a half. And, in some cases, it is significant to overcome a barrier of two euros per liter.
Contacted by TVI24, Repsol source confirmed that the values of gasoline 98 already rise, in some places, to two euros per liter since Monday and that these values are manifested “generically on highways”, not being able, however, to advance all package releases where these increases are already reflected.
According to information provided by the General Directorate of Energy and Geology, these are the Repsol pumps in which the 98 special gasoline is with the price above two euros per liter:

BP source explained to TVI24 that “Definition of price prices by service stations operating under the BP banner is the sole responsibility of the entities that operate them”, not answering the questions raised regarding whether there would be disposal stations where gasoline exceeds two euros per liter.
Regarding the specific case of Beja, where this Tuesday the price list of fuels was photographed with gasoline 98 rising to two euros per liter and this Wednesday the situation had already been reverted to the previous value (1,999 euros) , the multinational said that “The case of Beja reinforces the resellers’ freedom to define prices, according to the local market context and other criteria they deem relevant”.
AN TVI24 I also try to contact Galp, but so far I have not received any response.
