Inflation? How much are basic goods in Germany and in Bulgaria?
You have noticed the rise in price of almost all basic goods and services, haven’t you? Officially, we are talking about insignificant inflation of 3-4%, but the domestic budget shows that the money is not enough for a much smaller amount of products.
An officially missing version of the voice that has come to life across Europe. The reasons – the pandemic, reduced consumption, reduced production, energy crisis and last but not least climate professionals.
In our country for almost half a year the oil will flow an average of BGN 4 per liter, against the background of rising prices for electricity and fuels, which shows all food products to jump even more. Meanwhile, in Germany, the oil costs 1.39 euros per liter and 3.99 euros for 3 liters or a volume of about 2.70-2.80 levs per liter. Almost the tip – about 3 levs per liter, is the price of oil in Austria and Italy.
No, there is no problem in the calculation. Nor is the reason for the unrealistic price discrepancies buried in living standards. Within the minimum wage in Bulgaria it is 332 euros, and in Germany it is 1585 euros or nearly FIVE increases. Not only the minimum wage in the lowest of the European Union, but also the average hourly work – 6.5 euros in Bulgaria, and in Germany 36.6 euros per hour – six times more.
At the same time, the price of so-called consumer basket in us shows a high level from Germany to Germany. This shows a reference in the main groups of goods. Flour, for example, is in demand in Bulgaria for about BGN 1.40 per kilogram, and its price in Germany is 39 euro cents or about 80 stotinki in Bulgarian currency. Sugar and eggs are approximately at unit prices in our country and in Germany. A package of 250 grams of butter in our country is on average BGN 5, if there is no promotional offer in the store, proving the stationary price of the product in Germany is EUR 1.35 or roughly BGN 2.70.
“They lie to us that prices all over Europe have jumped as in Bulgaria, but in practice food products in Germany are cheaper, therefore in our parents,” said a Bulgarian living abroad.
Unfortunately, there are no horizons for prices to fall, and economies are predicting a new leap, both in basic goods and services and in non-electricity, water, heating and fuel bills.
