Fs, two new Frecciargento between Genoa, Florence and Rome
From Monday 18 October two new Frecciargento will shorten the distance from Genoa to Florence and Rome. A note from Trenitalia (Fs Italiane group). The president of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti, says: «Excellent news, especially at this time when the restart of the country and our region is running fast thanks to the vaccination campaign. A restart that needs connections to take on even more momentum ». The Frecce network between Genoa and Rome thus balances at 16 races a day divided between Frecciabianca and Frecciargento.
Timetables
The new pair of links will start from Genoa Piazza Principe at 7.40 with arrival at Roma Termini at 12.10 and intermediate stops in Genova Brignole (7.48), Rapallo (8.15), La Spezia (8.55), Pisa (9.50) and Firenze Campo Marte (10.46).
The Arrow of return will depart from the capital at hours 16.50 to arrive in the Genoese capital at 21.10 (Brignole) and at 21.17 (Piazza Principe ) and stops in Florence Campo Marte (18.15), Pisa (19.14), La Spezia (19.58) and Rapallo (20.32). The Rapallo stop, Trenitalia explains, is the novelty of this connection. The decision to introduce the new service is motivated by the resumption of demand. Furthermore, in Trenitalia’s plans, the new connection on the Genoa-Florence-Rome relationship could, in turn, stimulate further demand.
The train from Genoa to Rome runs from Monday to Saturday. The one from Rome to Genoa every day except Saturday.
The Frecciargento used is made up of seven carriages, two of which are first class. On all carriages there is a wi-fi network and an on-board portal that offers cinema, music, news and travel information in real time.
