Central Europe is not taken over by the cold air, which brought the first snowfall. The white cover could have been observed in Germany or the Czech Republic, for example; meteorologists from the SHMÚ assume that it will also appear in our country today.
As he informs Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, yesterday the first snowflakes appeared in the mountains. It had been snowing since 800 m above sea level, but it was not a long-term maintenance. I expect more snowfall today. It will be mainly the area of Jeseníky and Beskydy. Winter is also reminiscent of morning temperatures, similar to ours. The temperature is around 2 degrees, during the day it rises to a maximum of 13 degrees Celsius. However, it will feel colder, it can also be affected by the northwest wind.
The first snowfall in the lower positions
Cooling during the middle of the cold front manners, which is currently advancing through Germany and Poland further southeast. It will also bring precipitation, which can be snowy from middle positions, especially in the morning. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute informs about it (SHMÚ) on the social network.
