Police: – Five were killed
Five people were killed by a man with a bow and arrow on Kongsberg on Tuesday. Police believe he is dealing alone and assessing whether it is a terrorist act.
– We believe that there is one person who has performed these handling alone. It is natural to check if it is an act of terrorism. The person in question has not been questioned, says Øyvind Aas, head of the operating unit in the Buskerud police, during a press conference sent on Wednesday night.
The case is being expanded
There are five people killed and injured. One of the injured is a policeman who was in the store at leisure. He is now in hospital, it is also the other person, says Aas at the press conference at 23:15.
The two injured people are being treated in the intensive care unit, says Aas.
Aas also states that warning shots were fired in connection with the arrest.
It started with the police receiving several reports at 18.13 that a person had shot at people with a bow and arrow in Kongsberg.
– The person in question used a bow and arrow when we received the first messages. They are the ones with whom he then performed some of the actions, says Aas at the press conference at 23:15.
The police have the identity of the perpetrator. Aas says that it will “be completely natural” to search his home tonight.
