Agri-food: Terre di Pisa kermesse ‘takes to the streets’ – Pianeta Camere (di Commercio)
(ANSA) – PISA, 13 OCT – Countdown to the Terre di Pisa food & wine festival, the food and wine festival that will take place from 15 to 17 October 2021, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Pisa in collaboration with the Pisan trade associations . The union between food, culture, tourism and tradition of a territory is renewed “which makes – it is explained – taste and quality one of its distinctive features in full harmony with the authentic Tuscan lifestyle”. The start on Friday at 5 pm in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele with the opening of the stands of the 80 exhibitors including agri-food and wine producers from the Pisan province.
The event also includes guided tours with AIS sommeliers for wine tasting at the producers ‘stands, four masterclasses always dedicated to wine within the Macc – Meeting Art Craft Center – of the Pisa Chamber of Commerce and the’ Laboratory glass of wine ‘to discover the “perfect fusion of typical Tuscan dishes and the intense notes of the wines of the Terre di Pisa”, created in collaboration with Fisar and Pieve de’ Pitti at Ars Cafè & Bistrot. The oil bar is dedicated to freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil, while a seminar at the Macc, curated by the Pisan University, will explain the innovations in the olive sector. Finally, at the Leonardo restaurant, the association of tasters and lovers of extra virgin olive oil organizes Aperiolio, an aperitif with typical products and combinations of extra virgin olive oil from the Terre di Pisa.
Throughout the event, there will be space for thematic workshops on truffles, salt, chocolate, cocktails and a booking form. Also organized by the Pisan community of IgersItalia, for October 16 from 10 to 16, a #foodphotography workshop with the photographer Valentina Solfrini. Finally, the usual contest of the Terre di Pisa with chocolate and the master chocolatiers of the Terre di Pisa as protagonists.
The experts of the Nutrafood center of the University of Pisa will then provide visitors, through laboratories, games and quizzes, with information on conscious purchases and consumption in the food sector. “The safe return of the festival dedicated to the specialties of the Terre di Pisa – affirms the extraordinary commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce of Pisa Valter Tamburini – also wants to be an opportunity to rediscover these, to put in direct contact the work of our economic operators with the most attentive consumers.
