Viaplay ‘very cheap’ F1 to be broadcast in the Netherlands
It is already known that Viaplay will broadcast Formula 1 from next year. Ziggo Sport will start the broadcasting rights, although negotiations are taking place with the new service. KPN would also be involved in this. It is not yet known exactly what it will look like.
The streaming service is part of the Scandinavian Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group). The company has big plans for the offer in the Netherlands. Not only Max Verstappen will be admired at this service.
Service must be affordable
In conversation with ADVERTISEMENT Compare program head Filippa Wallestam that the new streaming service will be cheaper than in Norway. There, the total package including sports costs 32 euros per month. In the Netherlands, they say the service will become ‘very affordable’.
In addition to broadcasting Formula 1 and other sports with RTL and Talpa with its own Dutch shows and series. “See the live sports matches as an entrance ticket to the rest of our offer. We also want to make Dutch-language shows, series and documentaries ourselves.”, Wallestam says in the interview.
