How Willi Dungl became a Salzburg brand
20 years after the death of the fitness pope, his recipes are booming. Behind it is the Teekanne company. Even Dungl’s daughter is now a licensee.
Whether “stomach friend”, “throat friend” or “good mood” – among the herbal teas, Willi Dungl’s developments are the undisputed number one in Austria. Even if you include black, green and fruit teas, Dungl’s teas are in second place with a 17 percent market share – behind the Teekanne brand. The Salzburg subsidiary of the German teapot also owns the Dungl brand.
