Former teacher at Creps de Toulouse, Jean-Claude Panis had dedicated his life to sport
This Wednesday, October 13, the bells of the church of Auzielle (1500 inhabitants), near Labège and Saint-Orens de Gameville, will hold around 3:30 p.m. to unfortunately announce the death of a figure from the village. Jean-Claude Panis has indeed just left us for the great sadness of the people of Auzielle who knew him.
A native of Aveyron, he quickly went to work in the Paris region. He married Francine Théron in 1968 with whom he had a son, David. From 1968 to 1981, he worked for youth and sports in Pontoise (Paris region, Yvelines), where he created an athletics club.
He had trained young people from TFC
He then returned to his native region of Midi-Pyrénées in Toulouse. At the Creps (Center for sports expertise and performance resources), he was in charge of the young footballers of the TFC. Retired in 2002, he moved to Auzielle where very quickly he took care of community life and especially of the association fighting cystic fibrosis. For many years, he was with his wife the organizer of the famous “Randovales”, which concerned the whole of the south-east of Toulouse. He then became president of JSAL. (Jeunesse sportive Auzielle Lauzerville), football club, and defended body and soul, the value of this village club, participating in all consultations and organizations that could move the club forward. A great figure of the village leaves us, affable, sympathetic but sure of his convictions.
La Dépêche du Midi sends its warmest condolences to a whole family.
