The Gazzetta dello Sport dedicated a focus, created by the specialist Marco Iaria, to the finances of Napoli.
The 2020-21 balance sheet of the blue club has not yet been disclosed. Estimates suggest a loss of at least 50 million, after a deficit of 19 million with net assets of 126 million, liquidity of 124 million and zero bank debt as of June 30, 2020.
The aspect on which Iaria certainly focuses is that Napoli have managed to finance themselves, especially in the last three years.
The fundamental expenses for setting up the current squad were concentrated in the three previous years. […] This Naples is essentially the result of around 360 million investments, 70% of which is covered by sales. And in addition there is the share of the salaries. Over the last few years the club has gradually raised the cost bar by making ends meet with the Champions League prizes and capital gains. Now this dynamic has gotten quite complicated. […] This is why, regardless of how the championship will end, the need to scrape the costs continues to be pressing.
