Duisburg: Muezzin call allowed in Cologne! Would that also be possible in Marxloh?
Duisburg. The muezzin call will soon also be heard in Duisburg? The city of Cologne recently made headlines when it allowed the muezzin call for two years in the entire city area.
With the DITIB Merkez mosque in Marxloh Duisburg the largest mosque in the Ruhr area – in 2011 the proportion of Muslims among Duisburg’s castles was just under 15 percent. Would such a regulation also be conceivable here?

From now on, all 35 mosques in Cologne are allowed to call for prayer for five minutes on Fridays between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. “There is no other god but Allah!” It will then echo from the loudspeakers. Mayor Henriette Reker (64, independent) called the decision “a sign of respect”.
The city of Duisburg has four more mosques in an area that is only half the size of Cologne.
