BAG reports 923 new coronavirus cases within 24 hours
In Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) received 923 new infections within 24 hours on Tuesday.
In Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) received 923 new coronavirus infections within 24 hours on Tuesday. At the same time, the BAG registered nine new facilities and 39 hospital admissions.
On Tuesday a week ago, the BAG had registered 1019 new infections. There were also three new authorities and 27 hospital admissions.
For every 100,000 inhabitants, 150.84 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus infections were reported in the last two weeks. The reproduction number R, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, was 0.89 around ten days ago.
The utilization of the intensive care units in the hospitals is currently 70.5 percent. 16.9 percent of the available beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients.
A total of 10,268,050 vaccine doses had been delivered to the cantons and Liechtenstein by Sunday evening. This means that 10,736,789 cans were dispensed. 60.73 percent are already fully vaccinated. So far, 6,603,677 have been issued certificates for fully vaccinated persons.
In the last 24 hours, 23,882 new corona tests were reported to the BAG. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,235,990 tests for Sars-CoV-2, the causative agent of the respiratory disease Covid-19, have been carried out in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, according to the FOPH. There were a total of 851,609 work-confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus.
33,156 people have so far been treated in hospital for Covid 19 disease. The number of cases in connection with a Covid 19 disease is believed to be 10,762.
