At the end of the 10th day of the National 1 championship, Annecy took the lead in the standings, ahead of Bourg-en-Bresse, held in check by Sedan (0-0), Monday evening. Traveling to Avranches, the Red Star of Habib Beye offered himself a real card (0-6).
Change at the top of the ranking in the National championship. Friday evening, Annecy won during its trip against FC Bastia Borgo (1-2), managing to seize, at that time provisionally, the top of the standings. In an intense meeting start from a physical point of view, the formation led by Laurent Guyot opened the scoring thanks to a realization of Ruque, helped by the deflection of an opposing player and the bar (25th). Finishing the half in a dominant way, the premises managed to equalize with a but scored by Ba (42nd). In the second half, Annecy pushed for a long time, despite a limited number of chances, but the expulsion of the captain of Bastia Borgo, Cropanese, for high footing, changed the situation (73rd). A few minutes later, following a nice movement involving four elements, Wade finished the job in order to offer the 3 victory points to his team. “It is always played with details because it is a championship which is decided a lot with only one but of gap. We, everything is succeeding for us at the moment, we must take advantage of it”, explained Laurent Guyot after the meeting at a press conference.
Bourg-en-Bresse stalls against Sedan
Details that could not turn in favor of Bourg-en-Bresse. On Monday evening, the pressure was strong on the shoulders of the players led by Alain Pochat, with the reception of Sedan and the need to win in order to regain the lead in the standings. Winner of its last four meetings, the Bressan club could not do better than a scoreless draw (0-0), against the promoted. Opportunities were present for Bourg-en-Bresse but the lack of precision in the last gesture penalized the locals. On the Sedan side, the dynamic car has been preserved for eight consecutive games without defeat for Olivier Saragaglia’s men. Bourg-en-Bresse remains the only undefeated formation in the league. Sedan is fifth in the standings, two points behind third place, occupied by Villefranche-Beaujolais, who conceded a draw at Saint-Brieuc (0-0).
In the other meetings, note the card produced by the Red Star of Habib Beye, who won in Avranches at the end of a successful performance which transmitted the idea of a class of gap between the two formations . The goals of Guel (15th), Durand (44th, 47th, 55th), Ba (62nd) and Tokpa (81st) were only the consequence of the technical and tactical superiority of a Red Star much too inspired for his opponent (0-6). With this victory, the second in a row, the Red Star is now located in tenth position in the standings.
