A 3rd illegitimate child for Albert of Monaco? This paternity test that the prince refuses to take
We mentioned it late last year: Prince Albert of Monaco faces new elevation of an illegitimate child, from a relationship with a Brazilian when he was already in a relationship with Charlene. The case had to go to a court in Milan last February, but according to the Town & Country site, the prince’s lawyers pleaded “sovereign immunity” and the case was delayed.
The 63-year-old prince, who already has two illegitimate children, would have, according to the accusations of this Brazilian, also had a daughter in 2005. The complaint, which his lawyers rejected and called a “vast hoax”, is particularly painful because the Prince Albert was already dating Charlene at the time, having met the former Olympic swimmer in 2000.
In a statement from his Paris office to the Daily Mail, Prince Albert’s lawyer Thierry Lacoste said that “the claims before the Italian courts are completely unfounded ” and that sovereign immunity was “perfectly classic for a head of state within the framework of the defense system”.
The claimant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, says she had a passionate affair with Albert, which led to the birth of their daughter, whose name is also on file on July 4, 2005.
The legal proceedings are yet another blow to Princess Charlene, 43, who suffers from health problems preventing her from returning from Monaco. Suffering from an ENT infection, the princess has been stranded for many months in South Africa where she has to undergo several surgeries and is still recovering. She has not been seen in Monaco since January. The couple have denied rumors of a breakup and said Charlene’s absence from the country was solely due to her health issues.
