Sweden promises continued support for vital economies in Sudan
The Kingdom of Sweden reaffirmed its continued support for the vital sectors that Sudan needs, such as renewable energy and capacity building for young people and women, in addition to projects aimed at peace and support for digital transformation.

On Sunday, Sudanese Minister of Finance Jibreel Ibrahim met with the Minister for International Development in Sweden, Janan Alm Erksson, in Khartoum.
The Minister of Finance praised the relationship that binds the Kingdom of Sweden and Sudan, reinforced by meetings of the Friends of Sudan group held in London, Berlin, and Saudi Arabia.
The Sudanese Minister expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Sweden for its support, as it has given Sudan during the transitional period, through social protection programs, the Thamarat program, the UNICEF development program and support for basic education and health care.
In addition, Ibrahim praised Sweden’s efforts to support the agricultural sector in eastern Sudan and its interest in climate change and its treatment in all regions of Sudan.
For her part, the Swedish Minister for Development Aid praised the support of the Sudanese people for their government.
She said it was necessary to support the important sectors that Sudan needs in the coming days, such as renewable energy and capacity building for young people and women.
In addition to a number of projects aimed at peace and support for digital transformation.
